The apple does not fall far from the tree

My silly nieces.

Clumsy cub, my first niece.
She wears eyeglasses since she was a toddler because she is blessed with Astigmatism. Today, my sister has to buy her eyeglasses again because she lost the old one, at home!
She said, it has been somehow taken to another dimension. Well anyway, you can't blame her right?! If she lost her eyeglasses, then of course it is hard for her to find it again because she needs another eyeglasses to be able to see clearly. Aaanndd, if you lost or misplaced anything in that house, you will never be able to find it again. No kidding! It drives me crazy every time. I even lost myself there.

Potato "tengil" cub, my second niece.
She does not know how lucky she is, even until now. She managed to enroll in elementary school with the age of five. And this year, she will be a junior high schooler. Compared to what we all must have been through in qualifying and seeking a junior high school, hers is something you would envy.

She visited this elementary school in the village. During corona-lockdown, the school wasn't able to organize online schooling. So, basically she was having a looong holiday. Sometimes, she would get homeworks, which were done mostly by her mother, her sister, or me. She is so bossy sometimes. And of course, the school could also not organize the online final/national examination for graduation and junior high school entrance qualification. Instead, her marks are calculated or averaged from all of her grades since she was in 4th grade. Voila! She has her certificate. In addition to that, to spare the stress, my sister registered her in a private junior high school. So, no stress in EBTA/EBTANAS, no stress in not fulfilling the passing grade, no stress in misestimation of junior high school's passing grade of your choices, no stress in age limit for entering junior school, no stress in zonation system. Her stars are just aligned.

My nieces have another title, PIRATES. Their grandmother has to accept that fact since they were still toddlers. The house looks like a complete shipwreck, which explains why we tend to lost stuffs there.

It's no use in scolding them. You can scold and punish them, and they'll cry and sob and everything. But in less than 5 minutes, if you ask them why were they being punished, they would have already forgotten.

Well, the apple does not fall far from the tree. Needless to say where they get their traits from.
